THERAPY FOR TEENS

Individual psychotherapy

Teen Girls, LGBTQIA+ Teens, & Young Women

The teenage and young adult years can be a time of angst or a time of joy (and many times, both!). Many teens and young women experience stress, pressure, family issues, loneliness, trauma, and/or rejection during this time, but they tend to internalize their feelings. This internalization of feelings can lead to low self-esteem, self-deprecation, anxiety, depression, harmful coping skills, unsafe behavior, lack of boundaries, or other issues.

Your teen’s struggles negatively impact their self-esteem, self-confidence, relationships, home life, school life (and sometimes school work), friendships, and more. I’m a firm believer in early intervention and seeking help as soon as problems arise, whenever possible.

Our teens and young women need a safe place to explore and to heal issues that cause them pain or discomfort, so if your teens are struggling with issues and they are negatively impacting their life, then please consider connecting them with me. The sooner they begin to heal, the less likely they’ll be to carry their issues into adulthood.

During our time together, I will create a safe space for healing and I’ll encourage open communication between you and your teen.

Private psychotherapy is a great option for teens and young women who have deep rooted or specific issues that require focused one-on-one attention. I work individually with teens ages 13-19 and young women ages 20-25 who struggle with a wide range of issues.
