Individual Psychotherapy for Parents

Individual psychotherapy

Moms, Dads, and Gender Diverse Parents

Have you noticed that your childhood wounds are currently impacting you, your relationships, and your children, and you’re ready to heal?

Do you stop yourself every time you say or do the things your parents did, and you swore you’d never treat your kids that way?

Or are your teen’s or child’s mental health struggles, societal challenges, and other general issues leaving you feeling isolated and alone?

Have you noticed that your fear, shame, guilt, or self-blame is causing stress and impacting you and your children?

When we heal we have a ripple effect on our children, each other, and the world.

If so, you’re not alone and you can heal!

I help parents heal from childhood wounds, trauma, and unconscious patterns that are negatively impacting your life, so you don’t pass them down to your children.

Even if your children are young adults or grown, you can still heal and potentially mend your relationships with them.

Most of us begin to recognize our issues once we start raising kids and some may take a bit longer (and that is OK). They have a way of showing us our growth points, our challenges, and our strengths!

There is so much wisdom and beautiful intergenerational patterns we pass down to our children, and then there’s the trauma…

I’d love to support you in healing intergenerational pattens, childhood wounds, and trauma you don’t want to pass down to your children.

Although we can’t protect our children and teens from everything, we can minimize the impact and harm our issues will have on them.

I aim to support you in a safe and non-judgmental space while you process your thoughts and emotions so you can show up for yourself, your partner, and your children from a healed place.

I incorporate complementary unconventional practices (emotional freedom technique, energy work, guided visualizations, and more) with clinical evidenced-based practices to address the whole person in mind, body, and spirit. I’ve found that when I offer integrative psychotherapy, true healing occurs on a much deeper level.

I’m so grateful to parents like you who realize the massive positive impact you will have on your own life and the lives of your children (young or old) when you evolve. Healing your own mental and emotional pain will truly have a positive impact on the lives of those around you.  What a gift you’ll give your kids by breaking intergenerational trauma! You deserve support and you don’t HAVE to do it alone.

Dawn creates a safe space for moms, dads, and gender diverse parents who are emotionally impacted by their children’s or teens’ complex mental health, societal challenges, or discrimination. Dawn will help you to release shame, guilt, disempowerment, and isolation so you can feel supported, confident, and aligned in parenting and advocating for your kids.
