Welcome! I’m so glad you have come here to seek support. Please reach out to learn more about how I can support you or your teen.

Teens Rising Empowerment Programs™ empower high school girls, neurodivergent teens, and teens part of the LGBTQIA2s+ community to empower themselves in a safe and inclusive space.

I’m Dawn K. Gibson, LCSW, a somatic and inclusive trauma psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Colorado. Currently, I offer in-person sessions in Fort Collins, CO, and virtual sessions across CO and TX.
With 25 years of extensive mental health experience, I’ve worked with diverse teens and adults in various settings. My passion led me to create the Teens Rising Empowerment Programs™, focused on helping teens gain self-understanding, connect with peers, and begin to heal, grow, and embody self-compassion and self-acceptance to become adults who thrive.

I facilitate teen psychoeducational groups, group psychotherapy, and individual psychotherapy, with psychoeducational groups available in school and community settings.

Additionally, I help parents of teens with eating disorders or disordered eating feel empowered & educated so they can support their teens. I also help parents with gender-expansive identities and moms heal trauma and shift unwanted intergenerational patterns they don’t want to pass down to their children. Lastly, I help mindful moms release perfectionism, anxiety, and guilt so they can heal and connect more deeply with their children. Visit dawnkgibson.com for more information.

I approach my work from an anti-oppressive, equitable, social justice, anti-racism, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ affirming, feminist, anti-diet, body, and fat liberation perspective. Discrimination is not tolerated, and I am committed to ongoing personal and professional growth.

I’m currently accepting private pay clients!
