Dawn is on a mission to help girls rise up and step into their light and power so they can stay true to themselves and make the big impact on the world as confident, powerful, and compassionate female leaders.
Dawn guides girls to gain self-confidence, honor and connect to their bodies, understand informed consent and trust themselves to make healthy decisions and set healthy boundaries.
Dawn K. Gibson, LCSW has a Master’s Degree in Social Work-Direct Practice and has over 17 years of experience counseling girls of all ages and women. Although Dawn currently runs her own business, she spent over a decade working in elementary, middle, and high schools with high functioning and at-risk populations. She was the Crisis Counselor at an at-risk high school for boys and girls and she worked for various non-profit organizations that contracted with the schools. She provided individual and group counseling to hundreds of students based on the needs of the children with whom she worked. She is passionate about helping girls and their moms heal childhood issues, trauma, and feel self-confident.
Warrior Girls Rising™
GROUP PROGRAM FOR THE COMMUNITY
Warrior Girls Rising™ is an 8-week program is for girls who struggle with self-confidence, stress, relationships, and/or issues related to their growing bodies and sexuality. During the course of the 8-weeks, Dawn will counsel girls and offer practices and tools to help the them manage stress, create healthy boundaries with others, make informed decisions when they relate to the bodies/relationships, and most of all respect their bodies and themselves. A lot of the focus is on helping girls feel confident in their bodies, become more mindful, calm worry, and set healthy boundaries with others. All questions the girls have will be explored, including any they might have about sex, puberty, sexuality, etc…No topic is off limits.

Offers Warrior Girls Rising™ after school WITH 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH GRADERS SEPARATELY.
Offers Warrior Girls Rising™ groups after school for high school students. The girls will be placed in groups according to their ages: 14-15-year-old girls will be together and 16-18-year old girls will be together.
The groups will take place in a safe and sacred space (yoga studio)
Dawn is a Soulful Somatic therapist so aspects of mind-body-soul work will be incorporated into these after school groups. some of these practices include mindfulness, movement, soulful connection, self-compassion, ritual, ceremony and more.
The groups will be intimate with no more than 10 girls PER GROUP FOR 1.5 HOURS EACH WEEK.
